What Cerebro does?

Cerebro is a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) that may be used independently to automatically identify anatomical landmarks and evaluate image quality in real time when performing esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) procedures. The software helps endoscopists perform a comprehensive and consistent inspection by processing, analysing, and displaying video and picture streams of the upper gastrointestinal tract transmitted through the endoscope.
Cerebro operates by using a carrier device that satisfies predetermined technological requirements to receive the video input from the endoscope. The real-time video feed is generated by the system with information about landmark coverage, which shows which predetermined anatomical landmarks have been identified and which have not. The endoscopist can reduce blind spots and promote adherence to standardised inspection processes with the help of this real-time visual feedback.

Features of our product

Helps Endoscopists Perform a More Complete Examination:

Cerebro supports doctors throughout the EGD procedure by guiding them through a standardized inspection pathway.

Makes Photo-Documentation Easier and More Reliable:

Cerebro automatically tracks when photos are taken at essential anatomical stations, so endoscopists no longer need to worry about missing required images.

Provides a Clear, Easy-to-retrieve Procedure Report:

Once the procedure is complete, Cerebro generates a detailed photo documentation report that includes:

  • Screenshots of the landmarks detected during the procedure, captured automatically by the AI algorithm.
  • A final coverage score reflecting the completeness of the inspection.
  • A photo documentation report stored in a predefined local directory, in both raw image format and a consolidated PDF.

FAQs:

  1. Does Cerebro replace the endoscopist’s judgement?
No. Cerebro acts as an assistive tool. It supports clinical decision-making but does not replace the expertise or judgement of the endoscopist.
  2. Is Cerebro compatible with existing endoscopy systems?
Cerebro is a software-based solution and can integrate with compatible clinical environments. Setup requirements may vary according to the hospital’s system.
  3. Is an internet connection required for Cerebro to function?
No, Cerebro operates entirely offline once installed.
  4. What are the new visual indicators in v7.0?
Version 7.0 introduces ‘Inflation Required’ and ‘Rinsing Required’ prompts, along with a completeness tracker progress bar, manual photo documentation, and application monitor for real-time feedback.
  5. How does v7.0 improve documentation?
Cerebro v7.0 serves auto documentation for each site, manual photo documentation, and a completeness tracker showing how many of the 32 landmarks were covered during the procedure.
  6. How does v7.0 improve documentation?
Cerebro v7.0 serves auto documentation for each site, manual photo documentation, and a completeness tracker showing how many of the 32 landmarks were covered during the procedure.
  7. Where is the PDF report saved?
Immediately after the procedure, the auto-generated report is saved in the “Endovision-Reports” folder on the Desktop.
